Edison has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Huron Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Edison focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Edison ended up a good deal behind Vermilion and lost 56-42.
Edison's defeat came about despite a quality game from Ivy kluding, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that kluding scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Ella Booth, who scored six points.
Huron posted their closest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 44-42 win over Monroeville. Huron didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.
Edison's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Huron, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10.
Edison didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Huron when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 46-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Edison since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
