Imhotep Charter extended the longest winning streak in Philadelphia Public - AA this week by beating School of the Future, 53-0. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Delaware Valley Charter moved up to 369 from 399 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Delaware Valley Charter was able to make the jump by beating Roxborough 40-14.
Imhotep Charter's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Andre Dreuitt threw for 68 and one touchdown and Eerin Young had 43 yards receiving. On the ground Young chipped in 160 yards. Naseir Upshur helped Imhotep Charter's passing attack out by catching one ball for 13 yards.
Imhotep Charter's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dreuitt has thrown for 495 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Young has 10 catches for 223 yards. Young leads the league in rushing with 543 yards.
A big matchup in Philadelphia Public - AA this week will be when Albie Crosby's team takes on Barry Thomas's team. As it stands, the Panthers are in first, while Delaware Valley Charter is in third.
Communications Tech and University City played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Communications Tech eventually emerging with a 22-20 victory.
