Altoona-Midway is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Tyro Christian is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Altoona-Midway Jets will take on the Tyro Christian Eagles at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
 Altoona-Midway scored the most points they've had all season to find success  on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a  66-63  win over Liberty HomeSchool Alliance. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win Altoona-Midway has posted  yet this season.
 Altoona-Midway relied on the efforts of   Jacob Meigs, who  scored 20 points along with five  rebounds and three  steals, and   William Stackhouse, who  dropped  a double-double on 38 points and 15  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Stackhouse has scored all season.
 Meanwhile, Tyro Christian stacked  a  fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They took their  game on the road  with ease, bagging a  67-30 win over Chetopa. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest  victory Tyro Christian has managed all season.
 Altoona-Midway is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five games,  which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Tyro Christian, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
 Altoona-Midway couldn't quite finish off Tyro Christian in their previous matchup  back in January of 2023 and fell  62-60. Can Altoona-Midway avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
