The Windsor Warriors won against the Newington Nor'easters two weeks ago with 42 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Windsor took their game at home with ease, bagging a 42-0 victory over Newington. The result was nothing new for Windsor, who have now won five contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Windsor was led to victory by Maxim Copeland and Aj Robinson. Copeland picked up 128 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Robinson threw for 199 yards and four touchdowns.
Windsor's victory was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 5-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 South Windsor and 1-5 Newington (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 35.7% over those games). As for Newington, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Windsor will head out on the road to face off against Enfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Newington, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Middletown at 6:30 p.m. Middletown will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
