The Randleman Tigers entered their tilt with the Wheatmore Warriors with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Randleman breezed by Wheatmore on the road to the tune of 69-31. That 38 points margin sets a new team best for Randleman this season.
Randleman's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyshaun Goldston, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. Goldston hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. Pacey Wagner was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with two steals.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Robert Nyamongo, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Wheatmore struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Randleman pulled down 14 offensive rebounds.
Randleman is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Wheatmore, they are on a 18-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.
Randleman will head out on the road to challenge Eastern Randolph at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Eastern Randolph focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Tuesday. As for Wheatmore, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Trinity's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight contests.
