The Vela Sabercats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Valley View 94-16 on the road. Vela has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 36 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Janai Coleman, who scored 24 points along with six assists and four steals. Gg Betancourt was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with three steals.
Vela's win was their 22nd straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.9 points per game. As for Valley View, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.
Vela will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Rowe at 6:00 p.m. Rowe will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. As for Valley View, they will head out on the road to challenge Sharyland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Sharyland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday.
