Rashad Dockery Dazzles in South View Win
Starting off the list is South View's Rashad Dockery, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Dockery rushed for 202 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 35 receiving yards.
The win (which was South View's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Dockery and South View will head out to square off against Gray's Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Reed Made His Presence Known in Gray's Creek's 28-24 Win
Gray's Creek took down Lumberton on Friday, a win that might not have happened without Ezekiel Reed's standout effort. Nobody could stop Reed as he rushed for 221 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry.
Lumberton had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Reed it was a similar story. Reed rushed for 155 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.2 yards per carry the last time he and the Pirates duked it out back in October of 2023.

Seventy-First Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Donavan Frederick
Donavan Frederick was instrumental in extending Seventy-First's winning streak to seven on Friday. Frederick was dynamite, rushing for 65 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Seventy-First's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Frederick and Seventy-First will host Purnell Swett at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Deandre Nance Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Deandre Nance was instrumental in extending Seventy-First's winning streak to seven on Friday. Nance was excellent, rushing for 113 yards on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 151 yards and a touchdown on only 12 passes. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (100.1).
If the past is any indication, Nance could be in store for another big game when he takes on Purnell Swett on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Nance saw the Rams), he rushed for 73 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 65 yards and a touchdown.

Bryan Charles produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Cape Fear to the win on Friday. Charles picked up two sacks and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
If the past is any indication, Charles could be in store for another big game when he takes on Jack Britt on Friday. When Charles last faced the Buccaneers back in October of 2023, he picked up two sacks, forced a fumble, and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
