After flying high against the Moscow Bears last Friday, The Lakeland Hawks came back down to earth. The matchup between Lakeland and Twin Falls wasn't particularly close, with Lakeland falling 28-12. Having soared to a lofty 31 points in the game before, Lakeland couldn't push the score so high this time.
Although Lakeland took the loss, they still got scores from Peyton Hillman and Roan Reilly.
It was another big night for Wyatt Solosabal, who picked up 108 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Lakeland's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 5-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-2 Coeur d'Alene and 7-3 Sandpoint (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 74.4% over those games). As for Twin Falls, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Lakeland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Twin Falls will take on Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Skyline is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
