Ferriday gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They really took it to the Vidalia Vikings for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-12 win. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Ferriday got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zylon Alexander out in front who rushed for 116 yards and three scores while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Those 116 rushing yards gave Alexander a new career-high. Paityn Collins made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Ferriday's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Marvin Davis was the leader with two. Jaden Turner got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
