Meanwhile, while South Iredell put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for West Cabarrus. The Vikings blew past the Wolverines 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.
Like Lake Norman, South Iredell also got a great game from a two-way player: Addison Trego. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

The team also got some help courtesy of Keyonna Waddell, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Lake Norman is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for South Iredell, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Lake Norman came out on top in a nail-biter against South Iredell in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 10-8. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
