Basketball Recap: Terry Richardson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Gateway Charter Academy over a Plus Academy

Gateway Charter Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The game between them and the A Plus Academy Knights didn't end well, with the Gateway Charter Academy Gators falling 65-49. The Gators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Several Gators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Terry Richardson, who went 8 for 13 en route to 17 points. Richardson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Bobby Williams was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Gateway Charter Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for A Plus Academy, their record now sits at 6-8.

Gateway Charter Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-47 loss against Life Oak Cliff on the 11th. A Plus Academy has also already played their next matchup, a 49-35 defeat against Young Men's Leadership Academy on the 10th.
