Chapin will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Burges extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday. The Mustangs put the hurt on El Paso with a sharp 17-2 victory. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Valeria Sanchez was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Yoselin Chavira, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and two stolen bases.
Burges was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .643. They are 14-4 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Chapin made easy work of Andress on Tuesday and carried off a 15-3 win.
Alyssa Pena was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Yaretzi Acosta, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Jaedyne Armendariz was another key player, going a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Burges' record now sits at 18-12. As for Chapin, their record is now 25-6.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Burges hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .412. However, it's not like Chapin struggles in that department as they've averaged .469. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Burges suffered a grim 15-5 defeat to Chapin in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
