Breathitt County can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They skirted past the Floyd Central Jaguars 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bobcats have posted since May 10, 2024.

Raelan Back spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Breathitt County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloey Hayes, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Hayes has brought in this season. Another was Tenley Hayes, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Breathitt County's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Floyd Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Breathitt County will challenge Jackson County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Floyd Central, they will venture away from home to face off against Pikeville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
