Basketball Recap: Charlton County's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

If Echols County wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Charlton County, they should've done a better job of containing Jack Braddock. The Charlton County Indians simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Echols County Wildcats 78-34 thanks in part to Braddock, who went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 28 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Charlton County moved to 4-13 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Echols County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Charlton County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-45 loss against Hilliard on the 25th. As for Echols County, they will venture away from home to face off against Atkinson County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
