After two games on the road, Oswayo Valley is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Port Allegany Gators at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Oswayo Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
Oswayo Valley's game was all tied up 16-16 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 38-28 to Coudersport.
Connor Resig was Oswayo Valley's leading scorer, having posted ten points. Resig also led the team in rebounds with 12.
Dawson Welch took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Meanwhile, the third road match was the charm for Port Allegany, as they earned their first road win of the season. They skirted past Coudersport 47-44.
Oswayo Valley's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-4. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.7 points per game. As for Port Allegany, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Oswayo Valley took a serious blow against Port Allegany when the teams last played back in February, falling 70-38. Can Oswayo Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
