The Valley Vikings''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Foothill, falling 32-0. Valley has struggled against Foothill recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Even if they lost, Valley's defensive line still kept up the pressure with 3.5 sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Zaryan (ziggy) hall.
Valley's defeat was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 1.7 points per game. As for Foothill, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley will challenge Florin at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Florin comes in on a streak of failing to score more than eight points in their last eight games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Foothill is on the road again on Friday and play against Natomas at 7:15 p.m. on October 27th.
