The Freeman Flyers waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Centerville by a score of 71-63. With that victory, Freeman brought their scoring average up to 51.7 points per game.
Freeman's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chris Aasen, who scored 18 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aasen has scored all season. Tate Sorensen was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
Freeman now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Centerville, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 4-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freeman will take on Menno at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Menno is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Centerville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sioux Falls Lutheran at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
