Willapa Valley is 9-1 against Mossyrock since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Willapa Valley Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the Mossyrock Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Willapa Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Willapa Valley came up short against Pe Ell and fell 43-32.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Lucas Lusk, who scored six points. Another player making a difference was Nathan Fluke, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Mossyrock pushed their score all the way to 68 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Naselle 73-68.
Willapa Valley now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Mossyrock, they bumped their record down to 8-6 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Willapa Valley strolled past Mossyrock when the teams last played back in March of 2023 by a score of 77-58. Does Willapa Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mossyrock turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
