Camarillo extended the longest winning streak in Pacific View this week by beating Rio Mesa, 41-7. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Oxnard and Pacifica played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Oxnard eventually emerging with a 36-35 victory. Adam Espinosa ran for 330 yards in the win.
Taraun Nixon was the best wideout in the league this week as the Tritons lost to the Yellowjackets. Nixon racked up five receptions for 148 yards. Ruben Barraza helped Pacifica's passing attack out by catching three balls for 31 yards.
Travis Valdez threw for 281 yards and three touchdowns. He was 24-38 with zero interceptions.
Camarillo's Valdez and Corbin Covey have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Pacific View in both passing and receiving yards. Valdez has thrown for 2843 yards this season, while Covey, a 5-foot-8 receiver, has 124 catches for 1208 yards. Espinosa from Oxnard leads the league in rushing with 1511 yards.
Pacifica's Adam Maciel is a mere 44 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. Maciel has rushed for 956 yards on 185 carries so far this year.
