Softball Recap: Dalton Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Dalton's win against Northwestern wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Huskies 9-8. The win was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won three matches in a row.

Skylar Fletcher made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Fletcher was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lily Teague, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Arabella Wenger, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Dalton's record now sits at 10-5. As for Northwestern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.

Coming up, Dalton will look to defend their home field on Friday against Wooster at 5:00 p.m. The Bulldogs are facing the Generals at the right time seeing as the Generals are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Northwestern, they will venture away from home to face off against Keystone at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
