Basketball Recap: Kemper County Victorious

Kemper County entered their tilt with Velma Jackson on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 46-45 W against the Falcons. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Falcons two weeks ago, they had to take a 68-61 defeat.

Ethan Cook and Randy Miggins certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Cook posted 16 points and four steals, while Miggins shot 40% from the field en route to 13 points and three steals. The matchup was Cook's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Christopher Mitchell, who scored no points in addition to ten boards, three steals, and three blocks.

Kemper County now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Velma Jackson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.

Kemper County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 71-56 loss against Eupora on the 22nd. As for Velma Jackson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-36 win against Philadelphia on the 22nd.
