Axtell has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Troy Trojans at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Axtell earned a 40-33 victory over Frost. 40 seems to be a good number for Axtell as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Axtell found their leader in underclassman Levi Leathers, who scored 16 points. Cole Tindle was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Meanwhile, Troy made easy work of Bartlett on Tuesday and carried off a 54-32 victory. The win was just what Troy needed coming off of a 64-26 defeat in their prior game.
Axtell's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Troy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
