The matchup was Kaufmann's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Gallion, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Winfield now has a losing record at 1-2. As for St. Joseph Central, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Winfield will be playing at home against Poca at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in West Virginia (Poca is ranked 82nd, while Winfield is ranked 59th). St. Joseph Central will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pineville on December 20th.
