When it comes to explaining why Clinton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Taelar Felton. Despite the final result, she scored 30 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Felton is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caitlin White, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Starkville, they pushed their record up to 20-3 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Clinton will take on the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Murrah is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Starkville, they will head out on the road to square off against the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
