Hayden will be up against a hot Anthem Prep squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Eagles blew past Desert Heights Prep 14-4 on Tuesday.

Grace Stillwell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Dylana Lee and Rhyan Cantelme did most of the damage at the plate: Lee went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI, while Cantelme got on base in five of her six plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Lee has posted since back in March. Charlotte Locke was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Anthem Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Hayden made sure to put some runs up on the board against ALA - Mesa North on Thursday. The Lobos put the hurt on the Mavericks with a sharp 23-4 victory.
MIANNAH BRAVO was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of ALEYNA OCHOA, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Anthem Prep's win bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Hayden, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.
Hayden's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Anthem Prep has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .501. It's a different story for Hayden, though, as they've only averaged .336. Will they be able to contain Anthem Prep's hitters?
