The Madison Central Jaguars will square off against the Clinton Arrows at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Madison Central took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They blew past West Lauderdale 20-7. The Jaguars have beaten the Knights the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Knights has come to flipping the script.

The team relied heavily on Reed Sandberg, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Madison Central is 5-2 when Sandberg posts two or more runs, but 4-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Edwards, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.
Madison Central hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Clinton faced Brandon in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Arrows took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Arrows haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Clinton also got a good showing from Gage Temple, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Temple has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Clinton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stone Crain, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Madison Central, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
