The Boulder Panthers had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took their match on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 68-33 win over Northglenn. The victory was just what Boulder needed coming off of a 67-32 defeat in their prior match.
Boulder's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kyle Blauch, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 16 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Morrow, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Despite the defeat, Northglenn had strong showings from Jacob Martin, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two blocks, and Jose Jaimes, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jaimes has scored all season.
Boulder's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6. As for Northglenn, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
Boulder will head out on the road to face off against Rocky Mountain at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Rocky Mountain knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Boulder likes a good challenge. As for Northglenn, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Erie at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully Erie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Saturday.
