Adding to the longest winning streak in Valle Vista this week, San Dimas beat Gabrielino 48-6. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Saints.
Pomona scaled the state rankings by moving to 337 from 427 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Red Devils were able to move up by defeating Rosemead 45-14.
Baldwin Park's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Michael Moran threw for 353 and 5 touchdowns and Raymen Barraza had 187 yards receiving. On the ground Malik Abston contributed 233 yards. Luis Flores helped Baldwin Park's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 75 yards.
He was 21-32 with 1 interception.
Abston was a force in the backfield as the Braves fell to Arroyo.
Barraza was the best receiver in the league this week as Baldwin Park fell to the Knights. Barraza racked up 11 receptions for 187 yards. Flores helped Baldwin Park's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 75 yards.
Leading Valle Vista in both passing and receiving yards, Chris Williams' team's Moran and Barraza have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-9 quarterback Moran has thrown for 3,354 yards this season, while Barraza has 75 catches for 1,210 yards. Joseph Mayorga from San Dimas leads the league in rushing with 1,095 yards.
Pomona's Darreon Lockett needs only 87 yards against Paraclete next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Lockett has rushed for 913 yards on 95 carries so far this year.
Bill Zernickow's team took down the Eagles 48-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Josh Avila threw for 134 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 79 yards during the win.
