After soaring to 42 points the game before, The Dawson County Red Devils were a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They were beaten by Laurel 35-7. Dawson County lost against Laurel in their previous head to head back in September, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 28-19 score last time.
Carter Amsler threw for 145 yards and a touchdown. Chase Crockett was his top target, throwing for 35 yards on three of six attempts. On the ground, Liam O'shea rushed for 30 yards.
Dawson County has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Laurel, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Dawson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Laurel will take on Corvallis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Corvallis is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
