The Sweetwater Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Andrews Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Sweetwater and five for Andrews.
Last Friday, Sweetwater didn't have quite enough to beat Liberty and fell 2-1.
Meanwhile, Andrews traveled a rocky road last season, and unfortunately for them the road hasn't gotten any smoother. They fell just short of Lake View by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Andrews has lost by exactly one goal.
Sweetwater's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Andrews, they dropped their record down to 0-6-1 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Sweetwater was able to grind out a solid win over Andrews in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, winning 2-0. Does Sweetwater have another victory up their sleeve, or will Andrews turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
