Bel Air is 7-1 against the Mariners since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Bel Air Bobcats are on the road again and plays the Joppatowne Mariners on February 5th. Hopefully Bel Air is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Mariners in Maryland (the Bobcats are ranked 109th, while the Mariners are ranked 265th).
Last Thursday, Bel Air beat the Eagles 57-48.
Meanwhile, Joppatowne had to endure an 11-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 29-24 victory over C. Milton Wright on Thursday.
Bel Air has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Joppatowne, their win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-12.
Everything went Bel Air's way against the Mariners in their previous matchup back in January as the Bobcats made off with a 58-35 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bel Air since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
