Rueben Lopez posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). He has become a key player for Lathrop: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-14 otherwise.
