With a playoff win on the line, Chisago Lakes Area rose to the challenge  on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Edison Tommies with a sharp  3-0 victory.
 Kate Friedner paced Chisago Lakes Area's offense, picking up nine kills. Friedner got some help from  Kianna Osmundson and her 12 assists.  Morgan Mayer controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.
Chisago Lakes Area has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record  this season. As for Edison, their defeat was  their fourth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 4-12.
 Coming up, Chisago Lakes Area will welcome Hill-Murray  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Edison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
