The Jackson County Generals's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They blew past Lee County, posting a 96-59 victory at home. Given Jackson County's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while Lee County is ranked 66th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jackson County can attribute much of their success to Tydus Summers, who scored 23 points along with 5 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Cunagin, who scored 11 points along with 9 rebounds.
Jackson County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lee County, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson County has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Berea at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Lee County will take on Owsley County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
