Pine Forest hasn't had much luck against Milton recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will take on the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Pine Forest is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.2 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Pine Forest turned things around against Chickasaw on Monday. They blew past the Chieftains 35-1. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Kelsey Bumgarner was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those five runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Pine Forest got a massive performance out of Kennaysha Cotton, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs and five RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Miley Adams, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five RBI and three runs.
Pine Forest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .932. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Milton). They walked away with a 7-3 win over Baker on Thursday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Like Pine Forest, Milton also got a great game from a two-way player: Chloe Norman. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over 5.1 innings pitched. Norman was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. That run marked the first that she has scored this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Faith Cain, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those hits were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Destiny Dennis, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Pine Forest's record now sits at 2-3. As for Milton, their record is now 3-1.
Milton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Pine Forest has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .581. It's a different story for Milton, though, as they've only averaged .303. Will they be able to contain Pine Forest's hitters?
Pine Forest suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Milton in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
