Chicago Mathematics & Science can attribute much of their success to Ayomide Salami, who scored 24 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Salami has scored at least 25% of Chicago Mathematics & Science's points. Another player making a difference was Abisola-Gold Popoola, who scored 12 points.
The win got Chicago Mathematics & Science back to even at 1-1. As for Marine Leadership Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Mather the next time they take the court. Chicago Mathematics & Science will host Mather at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Marine Leadership Academy will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
