Elgin posted their closest win yet this season on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Bastrop 35-32. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Elgin.
Elgin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylan Roberson, who scored six points along with 14 rebounds and five assists. Roberson also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sharmonique Williams, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Hendrickson put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They really took it to Pflugerville Connally for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-35 win at home. The win was familiar territory for Hendrickson who now have six in a row.
Elgin's win bumped their record up to 9-17. As for Hendrickson, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-7.
