The Howland Tigers will stay at home for another game and welcome the South Range Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Howland came up short against Canfield and fell 46-36. While losing is never fun, Howland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Canfield is ranked 54th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Alex Henry, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of John Perry, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, South Range unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They suffered a rough 72-51 defeat at the hands of Ursuline. South Range was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-22.
Howland's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-10. As for South Range, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5.
