It was a good run, but Notre Dame Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 55-25 loss at the hands of Gerstell Academy. Notre Dame Prep has not had much luck with Gerstell Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Gerstell Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kiara Hardy out in front who scored 16 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hardy has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Eniyah Stinnette, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Notre Dame Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Gerstell Academy, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5.
Notre Dame Prep will challenge Fallston at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Fallston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Monday. Gerstell Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bryn Mawr at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
