On Saturday, the Castle Knights faced the Kamehameha Kapalama Warriors in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Castle took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kamehameha Kapalama. Castle's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Castle's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aukanai'i Arcala, who scored 9 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 blocks. Arcala has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Keiden Uehara was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Castle's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Kamehameha Kapalama, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Castle will look to defend their home court on Monday against Hawaii Baptist Academy at 6:30 p.m. Kamehameha Kapalama will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against King Kekaulike at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th.
