Champaign Central extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping their season record up to 14-11-1 in the process. They blew past the Peoria Notre Dame Irish 8-1. Considering the Maroons have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Peoria Notre Dame, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-12. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 25, 2022, but that streak is no more.

For Peoria Notre Dame's part, Mason Kenny made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Looking ahead, Champaign Central will square off against Bloomington at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Purple Raiders will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Maroons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Peoria Notre Dame, they will face off against Normal West at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
