The Marina Vikings will face off against the San Clemente Tritons at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Marina comes in on three and San Clemente on four.
Marina is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They didn't even let Arcadia on the board, marking the Vikings' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won ten matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Ava Kim, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Liz Byer, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Marina hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in nine consecutive games.
Meanwhile, San Clemente never let their opponents score on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over Oxnard.
The result came thanks to Luca Cifuentes's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 24 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Peyton Stokes was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
San Clemente's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-7-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Marina, their win bumped their record up to 15-13.
Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Marina hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .317. However, it's not like San Clemente struggles in that department as they've averaged .338. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Marina's way against San Clemente when the teams last played back in February of 2019, as Marina made off with a 6-0 victory. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Tritons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
