Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Angleton). They really took it to the Van Vleck Leopards for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-37 victory. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 493rd, while the Leopards are ranked 1170th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Angleton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Van Vleck, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-13.

Angleton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-55 win against Bellaire on the 27th. As for Van Vleck, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-39 loss against George Ranch on the 27th.
