Softball Recap: Rehobeth Has No Trouble Against Russell County

It's playoff time, and Rehobeth had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Russell County Warriors 13-2 on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Rebels considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

The team relied heavily on Kryslin Martin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jessa Buker, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Rehobeth always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Russell County only posted an OBP of .200.

Rehobeth moved to 19-17-1 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Russell County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-21.

Coming up, Rehobeth will take on Pike Road at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rebels will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests. Russell County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
