The Rogers Rams are on the road again on Saturday and play against the Wayne Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on December 23rd. Rogers knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Wayne likes a good challenge.
Rogers has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 28 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Bowsher 63-34 on the road.
Meanwhile, Wayne's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 54-42 to Centerville. While losing is never fun, Wayne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while Centerville is ranked 53rd).
Wayne's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jonilyah Chambers, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds, and Imani Frazier who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Chambers scored a full 47.6% of Wayne's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Rogers pushed their record up to 5-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Wayne, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
