Angelene Gonzales was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Lily Munoz was a standout: she scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Sadie Kirkland, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Johnson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Campus only posted an OBP of .259.
