Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Greeneville couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 55-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Upperman Bees on Friday. The Greene Devils' loss signaled the end of their 14-game winning streak.

Greeneville's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trey Thompson, who shot 40% from the field on his way to 19 points and five boards. Thompson's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Cole Franklin, who posted ten points.

Greeneville's loss dropped their record down to 26-12. As for Upperman, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 20 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-4 record this season.

Greeneville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Upperman, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 65-55 victory against Tullahoma on the 22nd.
