McCluer will challenge Covington on the road at Covington High School at 7:00 PM on Friday. Covington will need to watch out since McCluer have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.
McCluer might be getting used to good results now that the team have three wins in a row. They blew past Craig County 42-15.the rankings were on McCluer's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result
Meanwhile, Covington might have drawn first blood against Narrows last Friday, but it was Narrows who got the last laugh. Covington were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 28-32 to Narrows.
McCluer's win lifted them to 3-3 while Covington's defeat dropped them down to 3-3. We'll see if McCluer's success rolls on or if Covington are able to steal their positive momentum.
