Poly had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 25-3 margin over Western. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Engineers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2025.

Poly's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Western, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Poly and Western will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Engineers see the field they'll take on City College at 2:30 p.m. on April 7. As for Western, their break will end when they face Academy for College and Career Exploration at 2:30 p.m. on April 7.
