Woodcreek had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They took down the Piedmont Highlanders 48-34. The 48-point effort marked the Timberwolves' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

VanLaningham has been hot for a while, having posted two or more blocks the last 14 times he's played. Will Munoz was another key player, putting up nine points and six rebounds.

Woodcreek's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Piedmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
